We have been putting so much hope in politics and governemnt lately to cure this virus of Abortion, but this is clearly not working, and will definitely not work at this point anymore. And now, looking back, I think we've been "fighting" this thing the wrong way. It's in God we trust, not the government, and that's why we wisely have it printed on the one "god" that most people in this world worship.
But it's a reminder that God doesn't exist in the government, He doesn't exist in the office, schools, hospitals, any public place; God exists in the Church, and in the Home.
When we die, we live forever, and we've died with a choice on our soul, to be with God, or without God. One choice is Heaven, and the other is Hell. (hopefully we at least make it to Purgatory) I'm not here to discuss Baptism by desire, but when these innocent human beings are killed, we know for certain they are not going to hell, because their soul is never more than thought away from their creator.
Never is it safe to imagine someone being in Hell, just as it isn't safe to presume that we will definitely be in Heaven. Both positions ultimately lead us further from our Creator, and more focused on ourselves. But just like my last sentence, we KNOW what leads us closer or further from God. We know what is sinful and unjust. We know what is an occasion for danger, God gave us this Knowledge to be the servant of our Free Will, of Choice. This Knowledge is written on our hearts, and throughout time and by Grace has been slowly lifted to the surface of our minds, like oil slowly rising to the surface, our knowledge of God and Truth is become more and more real. Just like we don't know the state of someone's soul when they die, it is sometimes impossible to know the reason why someone would have an abortion. There could be coercion, or just weakness. We cannot judge them. But we know grave sin of injustice that is taking
I digress over this point only to show that we are called to plant the seed in the soul, in the home, in the Church, to let God change the hearts. Grace does not change what is written down on a piece of paper. Who is really in danger of denying God? Not the babies, but their parents, doctors, friends, siblings, pastors, grand parents, aunts, uncles, parishioners. Sometimes even the stranger on the street is responsible, and I'm not referring to a rapist, I'm referring to you and I. What have we, or have we not done to dispel this virus from the soul of society, the church, and the Home. That is where I believe, we are called to battle. Of course we are supposed to fight against injustice. But Christ teaches us that it is more important to fight for souls. Who soul should we really be worried about?
We are called to be like missionary martyrs, who gave up everything to save souls. We must pray for the guidance of the Spirit to show us the way to carry this out.
